extended hours of Stock Exchanges

Recently, The Securities & Exchange Board Of India has proposed an increase in Trade timings from 9A.M. to 5 P.M. it will be an eight hour trading session leading to fatigue and cost of more manpower.
Longer hours of trading will not facilitate more business. Infact the present trading hours by themself are long enough with not much work to do. Uneccesarily shifts have to be provided for with no increase in income. Trading hardly takes place for two to three hours a day, so this will be a burden. Morever Banks are not open throughout and payment of money becomes hard. I only pray this does not go through.
